Yellow robot stacking cartons onto a pallet with a vacuum gripper

Robotic palletizing and packaging

With robotic palletizing and packaging systems, we stack your products quickly, neatly and without errors, bringing efficiency to the end of your line.

Definition

What is robotic palletizing?

Robotic palletizing is the process in which a robot picks products such as cartons, bags, crates or drums at the end of a production line and stacks them onto a pallet in a predefined pattern. Packaging automation handles placing products into cases and preparing them for shipment.

End-of-line automation reduces labor requirements, speeds up product flow and enables sustainable production with consistent quality. The robot selects different stacking patterns for different products from its program, switching to a new pattern within minutes during product changeovers.

Options such as palletizing multiple lines with a single robot, automating pallet and slip sheet dispensing, and integrating with a stretch wrapper make the investment flexible to the scale of your facility.

Questions

Frequently asked questions about robotic palletizing

What products can a palletizing robot handle?

With the right gripper, a palletizing robot can handle most cartons, bags, crates, drums, sheet metal and packaged goods. We design a vacuum, mechanical or fork-type gripper to suit the nature of your product.

Can one robot palletize multiple lines?

Yes. If line speeds allow, a single robot can stack products coming from two or more lines onto separate pallets, which significantly lowers the investment cost.

What happens if the product or stacking pattern changes?

New patterns are selected from the operator panel or easily added. A product changeover is usually a simple software selection that takes minutes.
